Symphony & Opera at the Electoral Court of Mannheim
26/08/2019 @ 14:00 - 15:00

Das Neue Mannheimer Orchester is proud to present a great spectacle at the Utrecht Early Music Festival fringe – a giant orchestra concert featuring 40 musicians!
Venue: Geertekerk, Utrecht – with free admission (donations encouraged!)
Our concert is centered around one theme: the legendary Mannheim Court orchestra in the second half of the 18th century. We have selected a variety of instrumental and operatic works from composers who were associated with this orchestra, with the vast majority of pieces written for and premiered at the court in Mannheim. We would like to share this often-neglected but fantastic repertoire with today’s concert goers.
