Early Romantic Concerts

The beginning of the 19th century is a relatively new frontier in the world of historical performance practice. In September and October, we will play two concerts in The Hague and Enschede exploring the world of Beethoven and the bel canto repertory. Included are works by the famous Ludwig van Beethoven, his contemporary (and pupil of Mozart) Anton Eberl, member of the later Mannheim School Peter von Winter, and Vincenzo Bellini, a major contributor in the development of the bel canto opera style.
